SEAGULLS AGAINST APARTHEID ask for support outside Falmer station at 11am on Sunday 31 August before BHAFC’s home match against Manchester City.

We will peacefully show our solidarity with the civilians of Gaza who are being bombed, starved and de-humanised.

We also call on the football authorities take action. Over 421* Palestinian professional footballers have already been killed by Israel, as well as countless others who take part in the world’s favourite sport.

And we stand in support of Roger Wade, a long-time Brighton & Hove Albion season ticket holder.

Roger Wade - long-term Albion season ticket holder banned by BHAFC for wearing a Palestine shirt

He has received a five game ban from the club and faces possible legal action for wearing a football shirt, whilst Tomer Hemed (current BHAFC Academy Mentor) expresses racist and genocidal comments about Palestinians on his social media and receives no sanctions whatsoever: https://seagullsaa.co.uk/blog/tomer-hemeds-inflammatory-social-media-posts/

Wear your keffiyehs, put on your Palestine shirts and refuse to be silenced.

* Correct at the time of going to press and according to the PFA (Palestinian Football Association) and a number of  other organisations. This includes players, coaches, referees, administrators, and club board members. However, the exact number is likely to be much higher, i.e. incomplete records due to the ongoing conflict, or missing people under rubble.
